Lorna Taylor
Reader - Crick, Lilbourne & Yelvertoft
I would say I had been Christian all my life, as I was bought up as a Catholic. As a child I went to church every Sunday and attended their Catechism Teaching (the equivalent of a Sunday School on a Thursday). However, I really became a Christian following an encounter with God in 1997; after an operation. That was the point when God became real in my life. I went on to regularly start attending church at All Saints Yelvertoft, did an Alpha Course and became a regular worshipper.
In 2009 I felt God call me to be a Lay Pastoral Minister and so I applied; was formally accepted into the Anglican Church by the Bishop then studied for 2 years and was licensed in Peterborough Cathedral. I have since gone on to be licensed as a Reader for the Crick Benefice following further study.
